WDVA, through the rule-making process, is proposing to:
Create new sections to WAC 484 to define eligibility and process for the Veteran Owned Business Certification Program.

WDVA, through the rule-making process, is proposing to:

Update existing WAC to comply with Chapter 184, Laws of 2014.
Update references to other agency WACs (such as DSHS).
Update outdated language and using plain talk to clarify language.
Delete sections that are no longer relevant because programs have changed over the years.
Delete sections that simply restate federal requirements to ensure the most current version is available to staff.
Add Gold Star Parents to the list of those eligible for admission to a State Veterans Home, in accordance with Chapter 184 Laws of 2014.
Add the Walla Walla Veterans Home to the list of State Veterans Homes operated by WDVA in accordance with Chapter 184 Laws of 2014.
