Hi there!

Reaching out to make you aware that on July 11 we will be hosting a clothing swap and upcycling workshop. Details below, please bring a friend (or five)! Feel free to come to all or part of the event, you do not have to attend both sections if you do not desire. Here if you have any questions.

July 11th, 11 am - 3 pm at the Minority Vets Community Center
16040 Christensen Road, Suite 212, Tukwila WA 98188
Clothing Swap
Starting at 11AM we'll have clothes available for you to browse and take, in a range of sizes and styles. These were generously donated through the Trans-Wa community closet and Path With Art. Bring a bag and take what you'd like! We've got enough for many, many people to have a wardrobe refresh :)

Upcycling Workshop
Starting at 1PM we'll begin the upcycling/mending workshop facilitated by Donavan Olsen.

Our clothes are one way we tell the story of ourselves to the outside world. So what do you do when your favorite pants rip, or your favorite shirt gets a stain? This workshop explores repair techniques designed not to conceal wear and tear, but to embrace and find beauty in them. Bring a well-loved piece of clothing and learn some hand-sewing basics to patch holes, reinforce worn spots, and add some unique flair to your clothes. No previous experience required, all participants will leave with needles, thread, and a small collection of patching fabric.
