Your voice matters. Your experience matters. Your leadership matters. Your representation matters. The Washington Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking passionate, committed women Veterans to serve on the Women Veterans Advisory Committee (WVAC) — a statewide body dedicated to ensuring women Veterans have equitable access to the benefits, services, and community support they earned.

Interested women Veterans please apply

Who We’re Looking For

We are actively recruiting women Veterans from key regions across Washington to strengthen statewide representation:

  • East Side: Spokane, Pullman, Walla Walla
  • West Side: Pacific County, Whatcom County

If you live in one of these communities — or know a woman Veteran who does — your perspective is needed.

Why Serve on the WVAC?

The WVAC works to:

  • Connect women veterans to their identity as Veterans
  • Expand access to federal and state benefits
  • Shift public perception of what Veterans look like
  • Build community and support networks across Washington

Your lived experience helps guide WDVA in shaping policies, programs, and outreach that reflect the needs of women who served.

What Members Do

WVAC members advise WDVA leadership, elevate issues impacting women Veterans, and help ensure no woman Veteran is overlooked or underserved. Members also support outreach, events, and community engagement throughout the year.

Ready to Make an Impact?

If you’re a woman Veteran from Spokane, Pullman, Walla Walla, Pacific County, or Whatcom County, we encourage you to apply.
