Dear Veterans Community,

For the past several months, we have shared information on how COVID-19 has been affecting our State Veterans Homes and operations in our WDVA Service Centers and Offices. Our Homes have been working around the clock to keep our Veterans, Family Members, and Staff safe from this horrible virus, and they’ve done an outstanding job.

Our residents and staff from the Orting, Port Orchard and Walla Walla Veterans Homes helped put together a message to the residents ans staff at the Spokane Veterans Home letting them know that things will get better!

The Spokane Veterans Home mourns the passing of a Veteran who had returned to the Home from the hospital on May 12.  The Veteran was hospitalized for some time after being diagnosed with COVID-19, and had tested negative while in the hospital before returning to the Spokane Veterans Home.
