2026 Wellness Fair

Donate Blood and Get Your Flu Shot!

The Bloodworks Northwest Bloodmobile will be parked proudly in the Liquor & Cannabis Board parking lot from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM—because nothing says “community wellness” like giving the gift of life between a chair massage and puppy cuddles.

Book your appointment now and be a quiet kind of hero—the kind with excellent taste in wellness fairs.

11:00 - 11:30 AM What veterans need to know about Medicare

Veterans are not always aware that VA Healthcare is not recognized as viable medical coverage by the Social Security Administration, and that it is not a substitute for Medicare Part B. If they make the mistake of not signing up for Part B when they should, and try to sign up for it later, they will be charged a late penalty every month for the rest of their lives.

Presenter Dr. Kelly Hudson is a US Army and US Navy Reserve retiree. She manages the SHIBA team of volunteers on behalf of Senior Services for South Sound. Her team provides free, unbiased Medicare assistance to seniors in Thurston and Mason counties.

12:00 - 12:15 PM Your Commute Shouldn't Be the Hardest Part of Your Day

Make your commute the easiest part of your day. With vanpooling, you skip the traffic stress, skip the parking hunt, and skip the rising cost of driving alone. Thanks to Washington State’s Vanpool Subsidy, your entire monthly vanpool fare is covered, giving you a relaxing, cost‑free ride to work. Instead of gripping the wheel, you can unwind—nap, listen to music, chat with coworkers, or simply enjoy a quiet moment before the day begins. Vanpooling reduces wear on your personal vehicle, frees up parking for others, and builds a small community of riders who support one another.

A calmer, cheaper, easier commute is right here. Stress less. Vanpool more.

Presenter Kyle McPherson leads community outreach and marketing for Intercity Transit’s Vanpool program, helping employees, worksites, and local partners discover easier, more sustainable ways to commute. He specializes in creating clear, engaging materials that introduce vanpooling, support new riders, and strengthen relationships with employers and community organizations. Through events, presentations, and hands‑on support, Kyle connects people with the resources they need to join or start a vanpool, making the program approachable and community‑driven. His work centers on building trust, expanding awareness, and fostering a sense of belonging among riders across the region.
