Veterans Farm at Orting Donates 2,700 lbs of Farm Produce to Orting Valley Senior Center

“Thank you so much for the ongoing donation of fresh produce from the Veterans Farm. The seniors of Orting truly appreciate it as many cannot physically garden any longer. WHEREAS, at dawn on Sunday, December 7, 1941, the United States Pacific Fleet was attacked at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii; and

Honoring Those Who Served - Pearl Harbor - Bernard "Bernie" Manzo

"Bernie” Bernard Manzo is 96 years young and served in the United States Army Infantry 106th Division, the Golden Lions during World War 2, Assigned to the European Theatre, fought in the Battle of the Bulge and spent time as a Prisoner of War.
Duties included carrying messages by hand from battalion to company under combat conditions.
He is a Purple Heart recipient.
