“SPEAK UP, SAVE LIVES!”: WDVA Hosts Free Suicide Prevention Training to Support Veterans in Crisis

Learn to Recognize the Signs—Free Training for Suicide Prevention

In recognition of Suicide Prevention Awareness Day, the Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA) invites Service Members, Veterans, their Families, and community supporters to attend a free Suicide Prevention virtual training titled “SPEAK UP, SAVE LIVES!” on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at 1:00 P.M.

This special session features Forefront’s LEARN Saves Lives for Veterans, a training designed to address the unique challenges faced by Veterans and their loved ones. Participants will learn practical, life-saving skills to recognize warning signs, offer meaningful support, and help prevent suicide in the Veteran community.

The event honors those lost to suicide and uplifts survivors by empowering attendees to take action and foster hope.
