Hope for the Holidays - An Event for Gold Star Families & Families of the Fallen

A private event for Gold Star Families & Families of the Fallen in Western Washington. This is our 2nd Annual Hope for the Holidays event, especially for surviving children. Registration deadline is DECEMBER 8TH - fill out wish list form for each child and let us know how many families members will be attending, so we can have enough food for everyone.

EVENT DETAILS
Date: December 23rd
Time: 4:00pm - 7:00pm
Location: The Old Cannery - 13608 Cannery Way, Sumner, WA (Private event in the Winter Wonderland section)
What's Happening:
⭐ Photos with Santa - Santa & Elves will be there for picture taking (The Old Cannery is donating digital and printed photos for all the families to take home)
⭐ Presents - when each child sits with Santa, he'll give them a present from their wish list
⭐ Arts & Crafts - families can create keychains and/or decorate gold star ornaments. They'll create one for them and one to be gifted to a veteran at the Orting Soldier Home
⭐ Dinner - food will be provided for all the families to sit together & share a meal
⭐ "Gift Shop" - there will be a designated area for the children to select a gift from the gift shop for their surviving parent/guardian. This was a really special addition to the event, as many of the surviving parents stopped getting gifts because it was usually the other parents "job" to pick something out. Each child gets to select a gift, so families with multiple children had fun working together to thoughtfully select the gifts before a volunteer gift bagged it for them to take home to place under the tree.
⭐ Hot Chocolate, Coffee & Snacks - every holiday event needs some hot chocolate & coffee! We will also have a small selection of snacks to hold everyone over until dinner is served!
