Tribal Veteran Advocate Conference

The Tribal Veteran Advocate Conference: Supporting the Warrior Journey & Making Connections Virtual Training will be held virtually via the Zoom platform on Monday, May 2, 2022 and Tuesday, May 3, 2022 April 21, 2022, from 10:00am – 3:00pm PST.

The Tribal Veteran Advocate Conference will mark the first time that Oregon and Washington Department of Veterans Affairs will join multiple host tribes, from both Oregon and Washington State, in partnership efforts to better serve tribal veterans.

This training will enhance your understanding of VA benefits and programs, while also serving to keep you updated about the latest happenings affecting Tribal Veterans.

Topics during the conference will include specially adapted housing grants, advance care planning, program of comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers (PCAFC), Native Veterans Spouses & Dependency, and how the Oregon Department of Veterans Affairs and Washington Department of Veterans Affairs can support tribal veterans through collaborative agreements with Indian tribes.

Attendees will also have an opportunity to hear speakers in a roundtable discussion and a question-and-answer session.
