The Washington State Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA) is urging veterans enrolled in the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) system to verify that their contact and payment details are current.
This request comes as the National Consolidated Processing Team for Beneficiary Travel collaborates with the VA to address a backlog of payment requests. The team is working through January 30 to clear the backlog, with the goal of restoring timely payments by month’s end.
Veterans can assist by contacting their local VA hospital or facility to confirm that the following details are up to date:
- Mailing address
- Phone number (home and/or mobile)
- Email address
- Bank account information
For those needing help, the Beneficiary Travel Self-Service System https://www.va.gov/hines-health-care/programs/beneficiary-travel-self-service-system-btsss/ offers a toll-free call center at 855-574-7292 (TTY: 711), available Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST.
