Veterans Conservation Corps Manager Kim Pham Receives 2021 Southwest Area Special Recognition Award

The Washington State Conservation Commission presented our Veterans Conservation Corps Manager, Kim Pham, with the 2021 Southwest Area Special Recognition Award for her service in the community.

“You are being recognized for your service to conservation districts through the Veterans Conservation Corps program. With your leadership and support, conservation districts have been able to serve veterans by providing them with opportunities to work in locally-led natural resource conservation, a natural fit that has thrived under your guidance. You are able to envision the needs for each organization you work with, and have expanded the ability for districts to not only hire individual interns, but to develop crews where the need and purpose fits.

Conservation districts learn how to best work alongside veterans through your Veterans Cultural Competency training, which has broadened our outlook on how we can serve veterans through conservation, as well as within our entire community as well. Thank you for all of the valuable support you provide to us and our veterans.” – WCC Award Nomination

Congratulations Kim and please keep up the amazing and impactful work with veterans in the community!  #TheseAreOurHeroes #WeLoveOurCommunity
