The reception, attended by esteemed legislators and distinguished veterans, was a testament to the commitment and sacrifice exhibited by these remarkable individuals. Their actions serve as a constant source of inspiration, motivating others to make a positive difference in their communities.

Among the attendees was Governor Jay Inslee, who publicly thanked VLC member Susan Woods and gave her a card signed by many attendees for all her hard work and coordination for the event.

The event provided an opportunity for attendees to come together and express their gratitude for the sacrifices made by veterans and the legislators who champion their cause. It was a joyous occasion, filled with heartfelt conversations and shared memories. The camaraderie and sense of unity in the room were visible, creating an atmosphere of appreciation and respect.

During the event, members of the Veterans Affairs Advisory Committee (VAAC) were provided an opportunity to recognize several legislators with Outstanding Service to Veterans awards.
