Opportunities Grow at Orting Veterans Farm

Spring has sprung, and ground has broken at the Veterans Farm on the campus of the Orting Soldiers Home. Up until a few years ago, nearly three acres of available grounds were choked with invasive species of non-native plants. Spokane: This morning our Spokane Veterans Home received results that ten additional residents who were tested for COVID-19 have tested positive for the virus. This brings the total number of residents who have tested positive at the home to twelve.

The Washington Department of Veterans Affairs (WDVA) State Veterans Cemetery, Medical Lake resumed interment services for Veterans and eligible individuals effective Monday, March 30. WDVA is limiting attendees to groups of 10 or fewer immediate family members only, in accordance with state directives. Larger groups will be asked to reduce their numbers or be refused service.
